Langtang rebuilt itself after the 2015 earthquake and is now one of Nepal's most welcoming trekking regions. The trail climbs from subtropical forest to alpine meadows beneath Langtang Lirung (7,227 m), with Tamang culture at every stop.
There is no domestic flight and no long drive: it is a day's ride from Kathmandu to the trailhead, which makes it ideal for a compact two-week Nepal trip.
