Lumbini is where Siddhartha Gautama was born around 623 BCE and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This pilgrimage combines the sacred Maya Devi Temple with the surrounding monastic zone, where temples built by countries from Thailand to Germany stand in a landscape of lakes and trees.
You travel with a guide who explains the history and the teachings, and each day includes time for quiet reflection and guided meditation. Flexible dates mean you can choose the week that suits your group.
