Bardia is the wild west of Nepal's Terai. With fewer visitors than Chitwan and a thriving tiger population, it offers some of the best wildlife viewing in South Asia, along with one-horned rhinos, wild elephants, gharial crocodiles and more than 400 bird species.
Your safaris are led by naturalists from the local community. Dawn and dusk are the best times, and in between you canoe the Karnali river, visit a Tharu village and relax at the lodge.
